Chicken Nugget

Chicken Nugget’s life did not start off well. She was born to Mama Cat just a few months after Mama Cat and her two kittens were dumped by their family in a Highland neighborhood. Chicken Nugget’s litter consisted of herself and one other kitten, Shadow. Mama Cat just didn’t have the resources to care for four kittens, including two newborns, and still didn’t trust us enough to let us help. Unfortunately, she eventually abandoned Chicken Nugget. Chicken Nugget was sick and weak by the time we were finally able to trap her but also so desperate for help that she easily acclimated to life with us. After several weeks of providing Chicken Nugget with food, water, and kangaroo care, we were able to stabilize her and find her a loving forever home. Chicken Nugget was adopted by Kate, who already had cats but who also had room in her heart and in her life for one more fur baby. She adopted Chicken Nugget in December 2023 and Chicken Nugget was quickly accepted by Kate’s other cats. Chicken Nugget is doing well with Kate and her other fur babies.
